Septembre Lewis Interviews Farida Kroush

13 year old Egyptian Teenpreneur | Something Useful with Farida | Cairo, Egypt
I'm different. Other teenagers are thinking about what to wear and who's your favorite actor. But I never thought like this. I never thought of selfies or things of the sort. I always thought of creativity and how to transform what's in front of me, how to make things look different. Farida Kroush

Good day and welcome to the Golden Mind Show. If you haven’t already, please be sure to subscribe to The Golden Mind Show on iTunes. Now you can rate, review and subscribe to the show, meaning receive the episodes and your virtual doorstep. We tremendously appreciate all the support.

This week we have Farida Kroush on the show. She is certainly unique and has created some unorthodox ways to help resolve some of the issues we face everyday. As you listen to the interview, you will be able to tell how passionate she is about being and creating change. She has always thought of her two greatest passions, craft making and show business, as she would receive compliments on the small crafts and jewelry she used to make, in addition, she has hosted and moderated a lot of shows and events at her school, she says “maybe I’m as not lucky as Jami Petito - one of her favorite DIY shows DO IT GURL- and she may not be living in the best entrepreneur community yet she is lucky to meet people who think that teens need a push.

In a ‘teenpreneurs’ workshop she learned that building a business is challenging, but fun. She worked on her YouTube channel titled  ‘7aga Mofeeda Ma3a Farida’,  an Arabic title meaning -‘something useful with farida’. It is a weekly show where she introduces some DIYs to Arabic teens. Throughout the week, she communicates with her fans on Facebook where she addresses their ideas and feedback. She also posts photos of products they have made. She’s working hard to reach 10000 viewers, hoping that she can get some advertisements. This will take her show to a more advanced level and will solve some of her financial challenges. She says,  “One day, I will be hosting a big show; where I will introduce one teenpreneur to one businessman and will make sure someone pitches and someone pays.” She lives in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, this country is the oldest civilization ever on earth, it is literally the mother of all civilizations.

I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Farida, she is destined to make a difference in the world we live in and in your life if you listen with intent to be moved! Take a listen as she shares how her dream catcher helped her to realize many of her dreams and how important recycling is to her and the global community...
