Last night, me and my husband were chatting about life. As with most conversations, we flow through various topics - from book writing, website development, network marketing, clear communication, constructive criticism and more. But we came to a moment where we talked about progress and process.
See you guys, my husband LOVES process. When he's talking about doing something, he enjoys each step in the process, like he's having a five-course meal. He's constantly saying to me, "Bre' what do you think?" And oftentimes, he doesn't really need me to say anything, he's just bouncing ideas around so that he can hear how it sounds. He's really talking to himself as a way to embrace the process.
Most of us go to work on something with the thought of, "Oh my gosh, when am I going to be done with THIS?" ... "so I can move on to the next goal," "so I can get to the end, reward, celebration."
I wonder how much beauty we could discover, if we slowed down and looked every moment in the face?
I say all that to say ... don't rush the process of any moment, even those that present themselves as challenges. There is something amazing about going through various life events. You'll miss it if you're rushing to finish.
The race really, really counts.
